Getting to
the area is easy with flights from many UK airports into Limoges (55 minutes)
and trains in Le Dorat itself; having links to services to Poitiers train
station where you have TGV connections to Paris, Bordeaux, London &
Brussels.

 

The current
owners bought the property in 2004 and have paid attention to detail on
the  renovation; what they have done so
far has been a labour of love; they are hoping someone will appreciate the
commitment they have given to this home.

The house has mains water and electricity, with solar panels
which gives them a nice little cheque every year from ERDF! Drainage is to a
fosse, which works perfectly well but has not been inspected recently.  The gas is on contract with PrimaGas and they
have a tank in the garden. The house is fully double glazed, the roof is in
very good condition and broadband is available.

My immediate thoughts on the house are that it is arranged
in such a way that it would be quite easy to have 3 independent  one bedroom properties; ideal if you want an
income or if you have a relative staying with you long term who needs their own
independence.
